Located in Council Hill, a historic station east of Galena, this deck girder bridge is the fifth crossing of the East Fork Galena River.
Built in 1921 to replace an older bridge of unknown design, this bridge features three deck girder spans. These spans rest on concrete substructures. The structure also crosses Kelly Road.
Today, the bridge is still operated. It is located near Council Hill Station, a historic depot that the author would recommend a visit to.
Overall, this bridge appears to be in good condition.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
